On July 26, the Latvian Championship in the 10 km road race and the Ventspils municipality open championship in the 10 km, 5 km road races, and mile (1609 m) race, as well as the 5 km Nordic walking distance, will take place in Piltene. The start and finish of the competition will be at 8 Maija Street, next to the Piltene Cultural Center. This race is the only public running event in the Ventspils municipality, and the organizers aim to involve as many local people as possible. The course will wind through the center of Piltene with a fast 10 km loop that was certified in 2022.
